(The Final Five) 17 Days

Day 1: Tokyo Here We Come!

Arrive into either Haneda or Narita Airport in Tokyo. You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. We will meet as a group this evening for a welcome dinner (optional/pay locally).


Day 2: Tokyo Morning Tour & QF2

Enjoy a buffet style breakfast at your hotel.

Tokyo Stadium @ 19:15 Kick Off

Join our Post-Match Party at a local izakaya (casual / local style dining) for an All-You-Can Eat & Drink for 2 hours!

Day 3 : Free Day Tokyo + QF4

Today you will have the day off for some rest & recovery before another very exciting evening. Meet your match transfer at around 16:00 at your hotel.

Whether you’re celebrating or commiserating, tonight you’ll have the chance to party like a local!

Day 4/5/6: Time for some culture - Kyoto

Today we will take the bullet train out of Tokyo for Kyoto. Your three nights in Kyoto will be filled with cultural and culinary surprises. An authentic tea ceremony at a local Gion tea house. A chance to meet and sit with a real Kyoto Geisha. Meet our local guide for a full day guided tour to see some of Kyoto's 17 breath taking Unesco world heritage sites; Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji Golden Temple,  Arashiyama Bamboo Forest etc.

If you have time on your free day, why not take a day trip out to Nara, Japan's first capital where the Emperor first reigned and home to the worlds largest bronze statue and wooden buildings.


Day 7: Historical Hiroshima & Magical Miyajima

For those who wish to head west on the bullet train (2 hour journey), we will arrange a day trip to Hiroshima and the Unesco World Heritage Site of Miyajima Island. You can expect to visit the Peace Park, A-Bomb Dome, Miyajima Island Floating Shrine (Itsukushima Shrine) and savour the delights of the local okonomiyaki (pancake) for lunch. (pay for lunch & entrance fees locally). Today’s day trip will return in the evening to your hotel in Kyoto.

If you prefer to explore Kyoto some more, that’s your choice. Or, visit Osaka, Japan’s 2nd largest city.

Day 8: Back to Tokyo

After breakfast we will take another bullet train from Kyoto to Tokyo with free time to explore your area inside this mega metropolitan city! Your tour leader may invite you to sing at Karaoke or to a local eatery, depending on how everyone feels.

Day 11: Little Kyoto 'Kanazawa'

After breakfast we will make our way to Tokyo shinkansen station for another high speed journey. This time we head north west of Tokyo to Kanazawa, also known as 'Little Kyoto'. Our local guide will take us to one of Japan's top three Gardens and to the geisha and samurai district (Higashi Chaya). For anyone interested in modern Art Museums, you will have the chance to visit the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art.

Day 12/13: Gokayama & Takayama

Today we will move into the rural area of Gokayama, another World Heritage area in Japan, to see traditional mountain villages preserved in an age-old way of life. The area is best known for it's 400 year old farm style villages and 'gassho zukkuri' houses. This area is covered in snow in the Winter which these houses were built to with-stand.

Gokayama's Cultural Experiences include:

- Soba Noodle- Making & Lunch
- Folk dance performance at local farm house
- Washi paper making (rice paper)

In the evening we will arrive to Takayama, a merchant town nestled inside the Hida Mountain range. We will stay for two nights where you can do some self-exploration in the town. Morning market, merchant houses, sake breweries, folk museums, and originaly Government townhouses can be seen here. Lots to do and all within walking distance of each other.

Day 14: Tokyo for the Final

Day 15: Hakone/ Mt Fuji

Optional Day Tour will be provided to those who wish to visit the area around Mt Fuji. More details provided at a later stage.

Day 16: Match Day - THE FINAL

Day 17: Depart Japan

Your tour has sadly come to an end. We will arrange a direct transfer from your Tokyo hotel to Narita or Haneda Airport.
